Purpose

Protection of Monies Set Aside for Missions

1.      Diocesan Missions

2.      Parish funded Missions (10% of the regular weekly envelopes)

3.      Outreach Fund

4.      Other Designated Missions funds that could be required at short notice

 

Scope

Treasurer, Wardens and Rector (signing officers)

 

 

Policy Statement

To prevent the possibility that there will not be enough money in the bank account to cover the amounts of our mission obligations.

 

Procedure:

  1. On a Monthly basis, set aside the amount needed for Diocesan Missions together with 10% of the regular envelope amount and other funds of the nature indicated above.

  2. Consider this to be money that has already been spent

  3. In the event that all other funds have been exhausted (other than the designateed Missions funds,) a special Vestry meeting will be conveened to determin a course of actions before any other expenditures are made.
