Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish the process by which a new idea for ministry moves from an initial idea through to implementation or other action. 

Scope

This policy applies to all members of St. James the Less Church

Policy Statement

1.      New Ideas for ministries should be shared first with a member of the Ministry Leadership team.  i.e. This is not a vestry function.

2.      That member will bring it to the whole team for prayer and discussion.  

3.      The MLT will determine a process for determining the next steps.   The person with whom the idea was first shared (or the Rector is thought wise) with will go back to the originator of the idea and explain the next steps for implementation or other action.

4.      At all times people will be treated with respect and informed of the process in a timely fashion.

5.      A short Version of this policy will be published in the Church Bulletin and in other places on a regular basis.
