Ministry Philosophy

At St. James the less We minister under the Authority of the Word of God. We use the biblical standards, adhering to three groups of principles that describe the look and feel of how we minister.

Relationships -

We maintain and develop our Relationship with God both on a Personal basis and also in the corporate sense.

We Choose to Love One Another. [1]

We are committed to Linking all the Generations in Worship, ministry and discipleship.

Prayer is central to all that we do with one another and with God.

Discipleship –

We understand and minister in a way that acknowledges the Spiritual Capacity of Every believer regardless of Age

We are committed to the Equipping of all believers to fulfill the great commission fully utilizing the Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Authority –

We subscribe to a Biblical system of Authority including The Leadership of the Holy Spirit.,  ,  the 5 Fold Ministry (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers), and Team Leadership,    We also believe that as God is creative, we are as well.

[1] 1 Cor 13

Appendix:  Covenant at Consecration:  This was a statement that was made before God when the Church was Consecrated after the debt was paid off.  It also contains elements of our Philosopy of Ministry.

A COVENANT BETWEEN THE LORD AND THE PEOPLE OF THE PARISH OF RENFORTH.

q       We recognize Gods powerful hand in making the provision for this church building and our corporate ministry.

q       We acknowledge that he is calling us to a careful stewardship of all that he has given us.

q       We acknowledge that according to Eph 4:12…that the Lord has poured out gifts for the work of ministry in our midst in all  5 areas. I.e. Apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher.

q       We recognize the supremacy of Holy Scripture in our common ministry.

q       We recognize that throughout the last several decades the Lord God has kept this church in contact with other churches and para-church ministry that have always been moving forward in renewal, deep commitment and action  in the Gospel.

q       We acknowledge that God has prepared us and continues to prepare us for special ventures into the community around us for the extension and strengthening His Kingdom..

q       We therefore, with the Lords help, agree to labour in the Lord out of  obedience and relationship, for everything that he has planned and purposed for us to do in the days that are before us.

q       We acknowledge that this “work” that we do is primarily done through prayer and that the work is done first in our hearts and the hearts of those who love the Lord and desire to see His Kingdom come in fullness.

q       We are the ditches, Jesus is the living water, Fill us Lord that we will be a blessing to you for generations to come.
