Purpose
The purpose of this policy
is to affirm the adoption of the Anglican Church Act, 2003 and the Canons and
Constitutions and Policies of the Diocese of Fredericton as foundational to the
governance of St. James The Less.
Scope
This policy applies to all members of St. James The
Less.
Policy Statement
Members of St. James The Less recognize
the authority and governance of the Anglican Church Act, 2003 and the Canons
and Constitutions and Policies of the Diocese of Fredericton.
Members of St. James The Less adopt and
comply with the Anglican Church Act, 2003 and the Canons and Constitutions and
Policies of the Diocese of Fredericton in matters of church governance; except
where these are applied in apparent conflict with the orthodox interpretation
of scripture.
Members of St. James The Less will communicate
concerns and open dialogue in relation to the application of the Anglican
Church Act, 2003, the Canons and Constitution, and Policies, of the Diocese
of Fredericton through appropriate channels, where concerns arise.
